Charlamagne Tha God On The Ringer

Charlamagne Tha God recently reacted to Eminem’s new “Kamikaze” album. Specifically, a verse in which Eminem mentioned Charlamagne within his song “The Ringer”. Charlamagne Tha God is a radio personality from New York City, New York in the United States and co-hosts The Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club is a nationally syndicated radio show on iHeartRadio.


In the song, Eminem has a particular line that calls Charlamagne Tha God a hater and states that he expects to be given the “Donkey of the Day” on Charlamagne’s radio show. A part of Charlamagne’s routine that is meant as a satire award for things that he finds to be wrong. Charlamagne took issue with this. He started by noting that the year 2018 has been underway in a small jab towards a line that followed the one mentioning Charlamagne Tha God. Charlamagne Tha God then proceeded to state that Eminem’s claim that he “hated” on him was false. Charlamagne claims that he does not hate and that he simply speaks the truth. The line was in reference to a The Breakfast Club segment that criticized BET. He claims that their cypher in Revival was -In Charlamagne’s words- wack. According to Charlamagne, Eminem is obviously in agreement and his song quotes him verbatim. Although, Eminem’s wording was slightly wrong in his opinion.


From that point, Charlamagne went on to criticize Eminem’s Use Of A Homophobic Slur towards Tyler The Creator. A move that was taken offensively by some people and Charlamagne agreed. He stated that while he can say those things due to freedom of speech, people also have the right to be offended.
