National Steel Car achieved success with its first product they put out on the market which was over a century ago. The company arrived in the manufacturing industry right before railroad car manufacturing reached a peak, and so National Steel Car was swiftly able to capitalize on it. That attracted many investors to the business, and so the company took the top seat among its competitors.
The company then faced its first hardship when the Gret depression settled across the country. The National Steel Car lacked the flexibility that was built throughout time in the business. Many other companies were, however, flexible enough to start producing whatever the client needed. The National Steel Car started doing that as well which allowed to sustain itself even after a significant downsizing.
The business boomed with the start of the Second World War. The growth was unsustainable as it lasted only as long as the war did. Still, companies such as the National Steel Car had to produce huge numbers of railroad freight cars to satisfy the ever-increasing demand. At the same time, human resources were short as men were sent to war.
After the war passed, the National Stee Car was left with huge proportions but not enough clientele to sustain its size. That led to periodic downsizings as the company had to abandon some parts of its factories and many of their employees. The business continued on that path while it was under the leadership of Dofasco. The company sold the National Steel Car after about ten years.
The new owner of the Canadian manufacturing business became Mr. Gregory James Aziz. He took hold of the business and started overhauling and modernizing it as its Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chairman of the Board. The National Steel Car started experiencing surges of growth that it finally managed to sustain.
Mr. James Aziz expanded its workforce and its manufacturing capacity. By the fifth year, both of those more than tripled. The National Steel Car was also brought into philanthropy. It became a lot more involved in the affairs of its local community and became a supporter of local events, sponsoring many local institutions of sorts, culture, education, and so on.
Up to date, the National Steel Car is an international company. It has been under the ownership of Mr. Greg James Aziz for more than twenty years, and it is thriving. Go To This Page for additional information.
The company received TTX SECO award for quality, for over a decade and recognized the growth of the company awarding it the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
