Waiākea® was founded in 2012 and is the first volcanic water of its kind that has aligned with initiates and standard of health, sustainability, ethics, and charity. The water bottle company’s business model is based off of a three things beyond just only profit: transforming the water bottle, beverage, and general CPG Industry.
The company’s mission is to provide clean, healthy, and tasty water that makes minimum impact. In 2015 the Hawaiian Volcanic water was the top awarded beverage as well as the first American premium water bottled water/beverage to be CarbonNeutral certified.
Waikeaea is sourced from on an island in Big Hawaii. The filtration process throughout the volcano is what deems the brand “volcanicc water.” The name of the brand means “broad waters” where its source rains almost every day of the year (360-365 days).
Stephen Ray of the Premier Gazette recognized Waiakea water for its premier properties and numerous benefits that put them ahead of the competition within the water bottle industry.
Ray points out the difference in waiakea water ph. From a scale of 0 (acidic) to 14 (alkaline), the waiakea water ph is sourced at 8.2, at the desirable level close to neutral. The filtration of the water is all natural, pouring through 14,000 feet of volcanic rock.
